Ms. Zheng Mingmei, Director of Division of Smart and Low-carbon City Affairs of China Centre for Urban Development, and Secretary General of Smart City Development Alliance of the National Development and Reform Commission, addressed the development of new types of smart cities and the collaborative development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province as well as the Xiong An New District.
The European Chamber’s Vice President, Mr. Massimo Bagnasco, made the opening remarks on the significance of developing smart city and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration.
Ms. Zheng explained the new type of smart cities in China with figures and data, followed by a brief introduction on the Smart City Development Alliance. She provided insights on the Xiong An New District. Ms. Zheng invited the Chamber to participate in the Annual International Urbanisation Forum and welcomed European companies to invest in the Xiong An New District.
