Short description of the organisation

ISINNOVA is an independent Italian research institute supporting international, national and local public bodies for the analysis, the design, the implementation and the evaluation of sustainable policies in the fields of energy, environment, transport and mobility, urban planning, and knowledge society. Founded in 1971, for more than four decades, ISINNOVA has supplied expertise and solved complex problems for a variety of public and private organisations, and notably for the European Commission. ISINNOVA has substantial experience in the management of and participation in EU-funded projects in FP4, FP5, FP6, FP7 and Horizon 2020 programmes, and has a well-established network of alliances currently active in the Europe and beyond. ISINNOVA has worked extensively in the field of policy impact assessment, particularly with regard to socio-economic impacts and the development and application of forward-looking analysis (FLA) methods and tools.

Key Staff in URBAN-EU-CHINA

Andrea RICCI is the Vice President of ISINNOVA and Chair of the Transport Advisory Group of Horizon 2020. He received his engineering degree at Ecole Centrale (Paris, France) in 1977. His key qualifications include: sustainability policy analysis and impact assessment, forward looking analysis, energy studies and information systems, transport studies and information systems. He participated in and coordinated many EU RTD projects, among which: EFONET (FP7); NEEDS (FP6), FLAGSHIP, PASHMINA and URBACHINA. He served as evaluator of EU RTD proposals within FP4, FP5, FP6 and FP7, and he contributed to the ex-post evaluation of several EU RTD Programmes (International Cooperation, Environment, Bioeconomy). Counting more than 100 international publications, he is also author of a number of EU reports (DG RTD). He has recently served as the Rapporteur of the EC Working Group “Global Europe 2030 – 2050”. Loredana Marmora holds a degree in Economics and International Trade and Stock Market (University of Salerno-Italy) and a master’s degree in European Projects – Community Advisor and Project Consultant (University of Brussels-Belgium). In 2012, she attended the Cost Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects’ summer school organized by the University of Milan and, in 2017, „Understanding Global China“ summer school organized by CSCC (Centro Studi sulla Cina Contemporanea) – Rome University of Tor Vergata. With ISINNOVA since 2008, Loredana has relevant project management experience, having coordinated research projects such as CIVITAS CATALIST, ATLETE, PASHMINA, I3U and URBACHINA. She has worked in several EU research and demonstration projects, such as ECOSTARS as Local Scheme Auditor and CIVITAS MIMOSA, dealing with the evaluation of sustainable urban mobility transport strategies and estimation of economic/environmental/social indicators. Loredana’s prior professional experiences include working a consultant in the Financial Subsidy Services at INEUM consulting – France (from 2006 to 2008).
