URBAN-EU-CHINA partner IOER involved in new Sustainable Urbanisation project in China

A Sino-German consortium with the participation of the Leibniz-Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER) was granted funding for the elaboration of a full research and development project proposal on “Urban-Rural Assembly (URA): Transformation towards Community-Driven and Sustainable Urban-Rural Economies in Huangyan-Taizhou Region, Zhejiang Province, China” by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The funding period of the initiative which falls into the field of “Sustainable development of urban regions” has started in January 2018. The full proposal shall be submitted by June 2019. The project consortium consists of Technische Universität Berlin, Habitat Unit (Lead partner), Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Tongji Universiy, Constellations International, Local Governments for Sustainability e.V. (ICLEI), Zhejiang University, China Agricultural University, and Zhejiang University of Technology.
